The Patron Thief of Bread

by Lindsay Eagar:

Eight-year-old Duck was fished from the river as an infant and raised by a roving band of street urchins who call themselves the Crowns. Life is lived on the run, and being a thief is the only way to survive. The leader of the urchins comes up with a bold plan to keep all the bellies of the crowns full by making Duck apprentice at the bakery. After taking over an abandoned cathedral, she encounters an ugly old gargoyle who lives on the roof. This action story is told in alternating viewpoints and is a timeless tale of love and self-discovery.

American Royals
by Katherine McGee:

What if America had a royal family? Meet American princesses Beatrice and Samantha and Prince Jefferson. When America won the Revolutionary War, its people offered General George Washington a crown. Two and a half centuries later, the House of Washington still sits on the throne. Each child knows exactly what is expected of them. But these aren’t just any royals. They’re American. This series is full of intrigue, romance, and suspense, set in an alternate version of the modern world. A new reign has begun, but at what cost.

Does a Bear Poo in the Woods?

by Jonny Leighton:

This new picture book is great for a silly Storytime or getting ready to potty train. Poor bear just wants a private place to poo. All the forest animals seem to have eyes on him when he only seeks a little privacy. This book is full of silly humor with excellent illustrations. Will bear every find a place to poo, or will he just be like the woodpeckers who do not care, and do their business mid-air?
